On January *, *, we reported a plumbing issue to maintenance regarding both sides of our sink clogging. Maintenance arranged for a plumber to address the issue using an electrical snake. However, after the plumber completed the job, I submitted another maintenance request on March *, *, as the sink was clogging on both sides again. The same method was used to address the problem for the second time.
On May *, *, we noticed the sink was experiencing the same plumbing issue, along with a leak coming from under our pantry and the wall by our front door. When Dorene, the operations of maintenance and the original plumber who did the plumbing for One Lake Place inspected the pipes, he informed us that one of the plumbers who attempted to fix the clogged sinks had broken a pipe between our unit and the unit above us. This breakage caused leaks between the walls and onto our floors and pantry.
Due to these issues, there were many instances where we refrained from using water in the apartment to avoid potential flooding or leaks. When the leak detection company arrived, the water from the broken pipe overflowed overnight, causing the contents from the unit above to spill onto our floor. The company applied a temporary seal to prevent further overflow, but I do not believe the underlying problem has been resolved.
