My local police department stole my basketball court do I have a good chance of waiting settlement case if I sue them
Hey ****! I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Did the police department provide any reason or documentation for taking your basketball court?
They lied to me saying they were going to do it to everybody in town if anybody's basketball court was in the street but they only took mine and I haven't recording the lieutenant admit to it that they only took mine for healthy safety regulation codes but then he will change it and say that it was because of complaint that that's what they took mine and they said it was abandoned property
Hey ****! That sounds frustrating. In California, you might have a case if you can prove that the police acted unfairly or discriminated against you.
- Do you have any documentation or evidence, like the recording you mentioned?
- Was your basketball court on public property?
These details could help determine the strength of your case.
Yes I do have the recording of the lieutenant admitting that they only took mine and only mine and they threw it away in the dumpster and I have video when the cops came to my house and lied to me saying that they were going to do it equally to everybody which was untrue since they only took only mine my basketball court was located in a dead end of the street which is where I live in an apartment complexes with no with a sign that no cars are allowed to park so there is no traffic

It sounds like you have strong evidence that could potentially support your claim. Here are some points to consider:
- Documentation: You have recordings and videos showing the police's actions and statements.
- Location: The court was in a dead-end street with no traffic, which might not justify its removal.
