Deed Modification Legalities Explained

Full Conversation

I am a grantee on a deed of conveyance I signed 2 years ago. Stating that I’m */* owner of Let’s just say * acres. If one of the grantors decides that the deed was written up wrong (witch is absolutely not true) and I was only supposed to be entitled to * acres and they want to make a new deed or make an adjustment/ change the deed of conveyance I signed can they do that? Do I have to sign the new or changed deed issuing me less property?
Did you have a written agreement or contract specifying the terms of the land ownership prior to the deed of conveyance?
no
In Kentucky, once a deed is recorded, it's generally binding. However, if a grantor alleges a mistake, they may seek a court order to correct it. You should consult a real estate attorney.
thank you
