I have a legal question
Hello Kari, I'd be more than happy to help. Could you please elaborate on your legal question? Also, could you provide your location as it might affect the advice I can give?
Urbandale Iowa
Hello Kari, thank you for sharing your location. Could you please specify the legal issue you need guidance on?
I was having one of my vehicles fixed by someone at their house and that person got evicted by their landlord. He did not tell me that he got evicted and the landlord took my vehicle off the property and sent it to vehicle recycling. No one told me to come pick up the car or anything. Now I’m out that vehicle that I’m still making payments on. Is there anything I can even do about this ?
Hello Kari, sorry to hear about your situation. In Iowa:
- The landlord might have violated laws by disposing of your property without due notice.
- You could potentially file a lawsuit for damages.
Please consult a local attorney for personalized advice.
