yes. and i even got them to agree to a reasonable accommodation for me to mitigate neighbors' noise, because my unit faces and is over (2nd floor unit) this area. I use my bedroom as my comfort zone to ease/ameliorate my pain an fatigue from my disabilities...i showed notes from my doctor verifying this. but the outdoor "playtime" continues and the board will not stop it.
It sounds like you've taken significant steps to address your concerns. Here are some potential actions you might consider:
- Review your condo's governing documents to see if there's a specific rule regarding the use of common areas.
- Document all interactions with the board and any disturbances caused by neighbors.
- Consider mediation or legal action if the board is not enforcing the reasonable accommodation.
Have you thought about reaching out to a lawyer for further assistance?
lawyers are out of my price range, i know i can maybe discuss with pro bono ones, but any sort of legal action would probably involve court??? and i don't have the physical strength to endure all that.
It sounds like you're facing a challenging situation. While court action can be daunting, consider exploring mediation as a less formal option. It can sometimes resolve disputes without the need for court appearances. Also, connecting with a local legal aid organization could provide you with support and guidance without incurring costs. Would you like help finding a legal aid group nearby?
i know of some in my area. i'm thinking, that since i already have the accommodation in place, i should show what i have documented...photos, emails...and file a complaint with hud and possibly ocrc.
