I recently relocated to Dallas Texas from Sacramento California. I met a man online on Facebook Marketplace who was looking for someone to take over his apartment & sublease from June * until March *. We have a sublease agreement signed from the both of us, I paid him for the rent + deposit. He has yet to move his belongings out & doesn’t allow me to enter the premises freely, even though I have a key. He remains inside the apartment & keeps giving me false times as to when he will be gone. I have already moved a lot of my personal belongings inside as well paid for & shipped furniture & things for the apartment to the location I am supposed to be living in. He has decided that he no longer wants to sublease but has not opened up the unit to allow me to get my belongings or has he returned any of my money to me. I have no where to live, no where to put my belongings or means to get out any of the new furniture that’s been delivered there. I really need help.
