I just purchased a house in Fountain City, after I moved in I realized that I wasn't able to breath. I got a mold inspector and he found out mold in the attic and the baseboards
Hello ****, sorry to hear about your situation. In order to give you the most accurate advice, it would be helpful to know: were any inspections or disclosures related to mold made prior to the sale?
The home inspector advised to get a mold inspection but I didn't pay attention to that since I spoke to my real estate agent, who never showed me the basement or attic saying that it wasn't a big deal. The sellers wanted to do closings in a week, I didn't realize was a little shady
Thank you for detailing your issue, ****. You might have a case here. Here are some points to consider:
- Duty of Disclosure: Sellers are usually required to disclose known defects.
- Agent Misrepresentation: If your agent knowingly misled you, they could be liable.

Speak to a local real estate attorney for more specific advice.
