Hi so I had an unpaid speeding ticket from over */* yrs ago that my ex said he paid and I didn’t question it and it ended up suspending my license present day. I didn’t know it was suspended until I checked to get my license switched over. Fast forward to paid the fees and ticket to get reinstated once I did , I thought nothing of it and now I got a call when they ran my license it showed that it did get suspended. They are now questioning asking me to send proof but have been inconspicuous about the dates and want me to give dates and proof when in reality I don’t really know it happened so long ago and I was in a bad relationship at the time also so everything is blur
That sounds frustrating, ****. Here's what you can do:
- Contact the Illinois Secretary of State's office to request a detailed driving record. This will show the suspension dates and any related issues.
- If needed, consult with a traffic attorney who can help navigate this and possibly provide proof of prior payments or resolutions.
Have you considered reaching out to a local attorney for assistance with this situation?
