Car Insurance Payout Troubles

Summary

Melissas car was hit while parked and the insurance payout was made via a two-party check, which included the name of the previous car owner. The check was deposited in her Chase bank account but was red flagged due to issues with verifying the identity of the previous owner. Despite multiple attempts to verify the identity, the bank has not released the funds or returned the check, leading to the closure of Melissas account. Melissa is advised to seek legal advice and consider taking action under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
