I was given a check last year in April and I deposited it into my bank account. I got a notice this year in May that they were withdrawing the amount of $* from that check because they stated that it was a forged check. My bank said that there was nothing they could do for me because it was another bank that was stating the check was forged and I am just wondering is there a time frame for them to state that a check is forged because I feel that if it was a forged check it wouldn't have taken a year to figure that out
