I was pulled over for switching lanes. The cop in an unmarked car was following very close behind me so I switched lanes to get them off my bumper. They pulled me over claiming I swerved, but I used my blinker and made a lawful lane change. They then had me get out the car, all pprwork was legal and right, I did admit to smoking marijuana earlier and so they arrested me for dui. They did not search me or my truck. They brought me to the courthouse, booked me, and I made bail. My ticket says it’s for a traffic violation and the DA says I’m being charged with a dui. I have a medical marijuana card, diagnosed with anxiety, have a full time job, and live in Louisiana. I do have prior charges on my record for marijuana that have been settled, handled, and even went to rehab for marijuana.
