Full Conversation

My husband is on interstate probation in TN for GA, yesterday he was arrested during a visit with his TN PO & was told Georgia violated him & issued a warrant. He is now at the Hamilton County Jail without bond waiting to be extradited by GA. This aftenoon the magistrate had him sign a waiver of extradition, which he didn't understand. I am at home with our * kids that I homeschool he has the same job for over a year & I dont know what to do or what this all means.
Hello ****, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. The waiver of extradition your husband signed means he's agreed to be returned to Georgia willingly. Now:
- He'll be transported to GA due to the warrant.
- There he may face a court hearing.
I'd advise you to get a lawyer in Georgia for his defense.
the problem is I dont have money now that he is locked up me & the kids are going to be homeless

he signed the waiver today so * more days to get him
That's correct, ****. From the day of signing the waiver, Georgia has * more days to take him into their custody. If they fail to do so within this period, he could be released.
what are the chances they will not get him
It's hard to predict but generally, states tend to act within the given timeframe to take custody, especially if they've gone as far as issuing a warrant and initiating the extradition process.
