Hi ****! Could you provide a bit more detail about the legal issue you're facing? This will help me give you the best guidance possible.
I rented a house I had a lease agreement from a potential landlord. The day I was moving in a man that said he was watching the place called the cops on us saying that I wasn't permitted to be there. They arrested me on first degree burglary yet I had not been in the house. And forgery which I never sign anybody's name on that except for my own. 10 days later after I got filled out they came back with different charges and second degree burglary and two more charges of forgery and use someone else's personal identifications without permission. Because when I was booked in they didn't have no personal property with me. And I had to tell the officer he didn't bring my purse with me and he went back and got it hours later then they booked it in 7 days later after the detective went through my purse and found my roommates information inside it
That sounds like a challenging situation, ****. Would you like to be connected with local lawyers in Texas who can better assist you with your case?
I'm actually in fresno California. And I'm looking for someone that would take my case pro bono. Because I don't have the money I wasn't committing a crime as far as I was concerned I had permission to be on the property from the lease that I signed with somebody that took my $*,* and then I was treated as the criminal

Yes I would like to be. The person I rented the property from I was led to believe was the owner. I'm still not sure if it was the right owner. Because they said that he showed up at scene but they didn't let me identify him as the person that took my money because they didn't let me talk. They didn't ask me no questions they just took me to jail. I got the phone number for the rental from my sister who got it off of fire off of an ice machine in a little town called raising City

Could you tell me if it's illegal to put me in the back of a cop car with the door shut not being arrested not having my rights read to me with no AC in the middle of summer at about *° weather

In Texas, officers may temporarily detain someone without arresting them if they have reasonable suspicion. However, conditions such as extreme heat without AC could raise concerns about humane treatment and potential civil rights violations. Consider speaking with a lawyer about your experience and options.
