i have a court case i have been fighting 3 years. i have had * different public defendersand each time they change my lawyer, the offers are different. my last lawyer before the one i have now had threw me an offer that i was going to sign to get my court case over with. when i went back to court they had changed my lawyer and he gave me a totally different offer. i am never notified of them changing my public defender and i never hear from them until i go to court
Hey David, that sounds really frustrating. Have you tried contacting the public defender's office directly to ask about the frequent changes and inconsistent communication? If not, it might be worth a try.
what could they do about it?
Hey David, sorry to hear about the trouble you're having. Here are some steps you might consider:
- Contact the Public Defender's Office: Ask for a meeting to discuss the issues you're facing with the frequent changes and inconsistent communication.
- File a Complaint: You can file a complaint with the court or the public defender's office about the frequent changes and lack of notification.
- Request Continuity: Ask for a specific public defender to stay on your case for consistency.
- Consider Private Counsel: If possible, hiring a private attorney might offer more stability.
Have you tried any of these steps yet?
