This is the information that I received from my son who lives next door and reading the police report sent to one of the suspects involved in one of the cases. . I was never informed by any law enforcement any information pertaining to any details in any of the cases not the obtaining or carrying out of a search warrant on my home in my absence. There was a vehicle allegedly taken off property of the apartments that I reside at. This was said to take place on or about April *, *. An acquaintance of mine, Robert Underhill admitted to going to help a friend that claimed to have just bought a truck to get it started. Robert claims to be unaware that the truck was reportedly stolen. I did not even learn about this truck apparently being stolen until the end of May. There was a mention of a stolen vehicle on the intent to terminate lease for a substantial lease violation on or about May *, *. Robert did not even have knowledge that I had moved to this property until April *, * when he was asked by a separate acquaintance to pick him and a friend up after I told them they needed to find someone to pick them up and leave my apartment. So this occurred approximately * weeks before Robert was aware that I reside at this property location. In fact, I had not shared with anyone my new address until aproximately * week following this incident. I had absolutely no knowledge of this incident or of who was involved until very minimal details were shared with me toward the end of May. Until I read a police report that was shared with me I was beyond confused why the stolen vehicle was listed on the notice to terminate that was given to me on or about May *, *. The fact that Robert was asked to pick up two individuals that I had asked to leave my apartment is in no related to any event that possibly took place prior to that despite the fact that Robert and I are acquainted. Between the approximate dates of April * and April * there was an individual that was helping to repair my car that was constantly overheating. It is my only mode of transportation and I couldn't afford for it to discontinue running as my adult disabled daughter attends frequent medical appointments that are * to * hours away from where we reside. He had been at my apartment on numerous occasions during this time. Because he lives in the Denver Metro area he did stay over night on two occasions and on one occasion was there two consecutive nights. So had spent a combined * nights at my address due to my being unable to use my car to take him to his home as I was working on getting it fixed. I have known Zachary for approximately 6 years. He was a tenant in our basement for a number of months before my husband passed away. He was employed by my husband and worked for his company for an extended period of time. I was aware that Zachary had used drugs in the past and had plead guilty to charges. However, to my knowledge Zachary had recently taken of charges that he was facing from years prior. Zachary had not used drugs for a number of years and was not engaged in criminal activity when I allowed him to be on the property where I reside. However, on or about April * I asked him if he would drive my car over berthoud pass to know if the most recent repairs that had been done fixed the problem with my car over heating. I gave him permission to pick up a paycheck in the Denver area while he had my car. I was unable to accompany him as I was caring for my grandchildren several days a week to help my son and daughter in law. I was expecting for my car to be brought back that same day. Unfortunately, despite my consistant attempts and repeated pleas Zachary did not return my can until on or about the morning of April *. He took my car one last time on April *, * for a few hours and brought back some parts for further repairs in my car. I was very upset that he did not return my car immediately and I told him the evening of April *, * that he needed to find someone to pick him and Taylor who had come with him and that they needed to leave my apartment as soon as possible. I was aware that it might take them a little while to find someone willing to travel that distance to pick them up so I did not expect them to leave immediately. It was cold outside and I was not comfortable just putting them outside in the cold to wait. I went to bed as I had to get up extremely early to take my daughter for a medical procedure the next morning. When I awoke they were still there but said that Robert Underhill was on his way to pick them both up. I could not wait for him to arrive as we had to leave for the medical appointment. Robert was said to be approximately * - * minutes away. It was approximately * degrees outside. I made the decision to allow them to wait inside my apartment rather than put them outside in the low temperatures without them having warmer clothes. I left my key, the only time anyone besides my daughter and I ever had the key to the apartment in their possession. I asked them to leave as soon as Robert arrived and to lock my door and they agreed. They agreed to meet me somewhere after my daughter's medical procedure and return my key. There were no tools inside my apartment that did not belong to me aside the few tools Zachary had prior to help with the repairs on my car. There were no stolen items or anything that they had aside from their few personal belongings. There was nothing out of place or that did not belong there inside my apartment when I left. There certainly was no drug paraphanelia. Later that afternoon I had missed a call from Zachary which I assumed was to meet up and return my key. After being unable to reach him for several hours I was getting irritated. Much later that evening a mutual friend informed me that they had been arrested in Granby, Colorado but could not tell me what for. In fact, I did not have any information about anything that had happened until the following evening when I received a phone call from my son who lives next door to me. He called me very upset and asking me all kinds of weird questions and I had no idea what he was talking about. He said the Grand County Sheriff's Department was at his home and asking a lot of questions about crimes that had been committed and asking questions about me. My son knew that I had been at home for the days prior to this until my daughter's medical appointment because I was watching his children at my home. The deputies that were there asked him to call me to see if I would speak with them over the phone. I agreed. I answered any questions they had without a problem and shared any information I had. I was unable to give them much information as I did not know anything about what had happened. They told me that a business had been broken into in Broomfield, CO and that the car on video was similar to my Nissan Armada. They said that scratch tickets were taken from the business and asked if ai knew anything. I informed them that I had not been in possession of my car for the five days prior to that date and just received it back on April *, *. I honestly had no idea what they were talking about. I never saw anything beyond a few scratch tickets that was what I would expect to be a very reasonable number of tickets expected for an individual to possess who would have bought them. There was not a plethora or stacks of them like the deputy was insinuating. I never saw anything of that amount with either of them. They asked me if I would be willing to speak to Broomfield Police Department and I immediately agreed. I gave them a good phone number for where I could be reached. They also asked me about some tools. If I knew anything about tools that had been stolen. I told them the truth, I had no idea what they were talking about. There had been no tools in my car and no tools in my home besides what belonged to me and I had receipts for. My son then calls me a little while later and told me the Grand County Sheriff's Department had obtained a search warrant and searched my apartment. He was unable to tell me what they searching for. He said they took tools from my apartment and that drug paraphanelia had been found in one room of the apartment. I could not leave at this time and return to home as I had a court date in Fort Collins first thing in the morning which is why I had remained in Denver after my daughter's medical procedure. I also was not able to retrieve my key from Zachary prior to their arrest and it was the only key we had to get into our apartment. My son said that there were only a few tools taken from the apartment and I asked him if they were my tools but he did not know. I knew I did not have anything illegal in my possession or in my apartment so I was not concerned about the search on my apartment. When my son told me that there was drug paraphenelia in my apartment I was beyond surprised. I can say with certainty that there was not drug paraphenillia in my apartment when I left. I have later been informed as to whose drug paraphanelia it was and and that it was not intentionally left in my apartment. I would not have ever allowed any drug related items to be in my apartment. I have worked very hard to get away from drugs and they lifestyle that comes with it.
