Missed Court Date Consequences

Summary

If you missed a court date and now have an active warrant for a DUI charge, contact an attorney immediately. Turning yourself in is usually better than being arrested. Your attorney may negotiate a surrender date, giving you time to arrange your affairs. Appear at all future court dates to avoid further complications and cooperate fully with your attorney and the court.

Hello Alan Coryell, it's nice to meet you. How can I assist you with your legal issue today?
So I just found out online from checking the online portal available for the Orange County Courts website, I had an incident that took place the day that covid started, when the entire state shut down and I was released from the santa ana court house, I was charged with driving under the influence of a drug and was released an no future pending courtdate , and to my surprise onoine it says there was a court date */*/* and as it appears online there was two different hearings on the same date, both for the arraignment, but one of the hearings was in h10 and the other one h8 and the hearing status of h10 was cancelled and h8 was heard, to which i was not present for, which then resulted in a warrent being issued and the status of the case has an active warant and to address your mandatory appearance citation and warrant you must appear before a judicial officer, it says no dmv hold and case is not eligible for traffic school, what is the best course of action to try and avoid any possible jail time that may be considered
