I have my boat in the marina, and I call and they put it in water then take it out when I want. I called to have it pulled and they hit the bulk head and damaged my boat, never called me to tell me and tried to fix it before I noticed, but I went there to put my cover on and found them trying to beat out the dent with out my permission. Can I make them replace the skirting on my pontoon boat
Hello ****. Can you please provide your location? This will help me provide you with the most accurate legal information possible.

I'm sorry to hear about your boat. In Florida, marinas are liable for damages caused due to their negligence. You can:
- Document the damage, collect evidence.
- Consult with a maritime lawyer.
- File a lawsuit if necessary.
Remember, it's important to act quickly.
They said they would change the skirting because there was a dent that I put on other side of boat that they didn’t do
It's important to clarify the damage caused by you and them separately. In Florida, if the marina caused damage, they're responsible. If you caused some, that's on you. Consider:
- Getting an independent assessment of the damages.
- Consulting a maritime lawyer for clarification.
Wouldnt
it be best for me to get a lawyer right away?
Yes, considering the damages and the dispute, it would be wise to consult with a maritime lawyer immediately to understand the best course of action.
Well I’m afraid if I contact one the marina will no longer let me keep my boat there
It's a valid concern, ****. Florida law prohibits retaliation for asserting your rights. If you face any issues, document them - as it could serve as evidence of retaliation. Consulting a lawyer can provide clarity.
Ok I will look up a maritime lawyer
That sounds like a good plan, ****. Remember, consultations are often free or at a low cost, and these professionals can provide you with valuable advice on your situation. Best of luck.
