I sought emergency care for a severe case of paronychia, which resulted in significant pain, swelling, and bleeding under the skin. The tip of my finger had started to crack open due to the infection, making the situation even more urgent. During my visit, the attending doctor (Dr. Ocon) administered multiple injections in the wrong part of my hand, causing unnecessary pain and requiring the injections to be repeated. The injections were to be given on each side left hands middle knuckle to numb the area for lancing. Instead, the doctor negligently administered * injections in the 3rd knuckle (ring finger); clearly ignoring the massive swelling and discoloring of the appropriate finger. This mistake prolonged my suffering and demonstrated a concerning lack of attention. Given the severity of my condition, I expected competent and precise care, but instead, I endured additional discomfort due to this error.
