Prescription Reduction Legal Concerns
Summary
If a doctor reduces a long-standing prescription without proper consultation, it may be a violation of patient rights, especially with controlled substances like clonazepam. In Montana, you can file a complaint with the Medical Board, seek legal aid, or contact organizations like the ACLU for rights violations. Pro bono legal services may also be available through local bar associations. If traditional routes have failed, consider reaching out to advocacy groups for additional support.Full Conversation
I'm disabled thank you very much I cannot afford a patient advocate that is a minimum of $* per hour for a matter of weeks to months thank you the government makes sure we don't make enough money to be able to do that. The medical board does not investigate their cases properly I've tried that one they didn't even contact my witness so yeah no thanks I have tried to contact attorneys haven't had luck I don't even know what I'm looking for don't look at your reply. You are not understanding the ramifications of how urgently serious this is and the fact that my life is being endangered and I am living in complete terror and fear because of it I'm pretty certain I've been blacklisted by this doctor as well there is nowhere else for me to go and as I stated emergency and telemedicine is not an option this doctor has broken the law and she has violated my rights why can I not find help Help me understand how I have rights that no one will help me

I've already said those things did not work I contacted disability rights and they couldn't help me neither would oig there is no legal aid available in my state currently and the Patient advocacy foundation is a joke I am not going to tell you again that my life is endangered and laws are being broken here the right to inform in Montana is a thing why are you not helping me? Is it because the law doesn't matter and it doesn't matter that I'm being violated in my rights the only thing that truly matters to the legal system is the bottom line? and then we wonder why the world is so fucked

Considering it's gonna cost me my life I feel like it's serious but help me understand why I can't find anyone else that seems to care even though laws are broken here and my right as a human being are being violated for sure my rights as a patient definitely violated and I don't know what other rights I have because I thought I had a lot of rights That realized we don't actually have which is really sad and quite scary if you ask me. I have been so grossly failed by all of the systems that are put in place that are meant to help people all of them especially the medical and legal system and it is quite appalling what I've had to go through and not being able to find anyone to help me the amount of mental anguish and distress this is caused me not to mention the amount of unethical inhumane time I have spent suffering in fear with nowhere to go because I don't even feel safe going to the emergency room because of how much abuse I have endured in the past year alone I have diagnosed PTSD from this that is forever you understand I am permanently changed forever because of doctors habitually abusing me and mistreating me and getting away with it because there's nothing anyone can do about it this is killing me I am disabled I have chronic conditions and doctors are being so very negligent it is blowing to me yet I can't find a single person or whatever that is willing to even help me and I just don't understand I am absolutely terrified
