My boyfriend got hit while driving through a parking lot and He went through the other drivers insurance to fix his car. State Farm told him to send pictures of the car and bring it to an auto body shop to get an estimate. The shop he chose was not in network so he was told to leave the car at the shop so their own appraiser could make an estimate. He left the car on Friday and said they would send someone Monday. On Monday he checked the status of the claim and they hadn't done it yet and they told him that it could be another 3 days until they have someone look at the car. The car sat at the shop until finally did the appraisal. They never actually sent anyone to the shop, it was done electronically with pictures. After he got the check he went to pick up the car and there were $* in storage fees incurred from leaving it there. He did not want to leave his car there but state farm told him to for the appraisal. He submitted this to state farm and they denied repayment for this
