I lived on a property and the landlord did not have a secure gate to property. There was a gate bit it allowed * shapei pit bulls to wiggle through and attack my dogs 3x. On the third time I was injured. What are legal recourses?
Hey ****! Sorry to hear about that situation. In Missouri, you might have a few legal options:
- You could potentially pursue a premises liability claim against the landlord for not maintaining a safe property.
- You might also consider a negligence claim regarding the landlord's failure to secure the gate.
Would you like to be connected to local lawyers who can assist you further with your case?

This was I. Hawaii and the statute of limitations has probably passed but their were reasons why — o called lawyer soon after happened and he chastised me and said should not take case, meaning there was a concerted effort to prevent or dissuade me from attempting to do so, probably still is as owner of property considered to ‘ prestigious’ white family that managed to get lot in a Hawaii homelands cul de sac
It sounds like a complex situation, and the statute of limitations can be a critical factor. In Hawaii, the statute of limitations for personal injury is typically two years. If you believe there were reasons that prevented you from filing, there might be exceptions or tolling provisions that apply. Would you like to explore these possibilities with a local lawyer who might provide more specific guidance?
What is a tolling provision?

A tolling provision is a legal mechanism that pauses or delays the running of the statute of limitations. It can apply in situations where the injured party was prevented from filing due to reasons like fraud or concealment. Would you like to be connected to local lawyers who can better assist you with your case?

Of note is that his Doberman was mauled by the same dogs and this was not disclosed when I moved in. Quote the opposite it was advertised as a quiet fenced property that allowed dogs.

In Missouri, if a property is advertised as secure and safe for dogs, but poses a risk, there could be grounds for a misrepresentation claim. Have you considered documenting all communications and incidents related to this case?

I declined having the owner of the dogs arrested but then when returned from veterinarian I went to dog inclosure to see how they were escaping. It was secured with zip ties. So oli found a defensive weapon and that was on floor of the garage on the property I lived and eat it along fence to see if aggravating them would cause them to bite at zip ties. They did not which I presumed to be case, but then owners leaned out 2nd floor wondow, bc I did have her arrested, and started screaming what a dumb botch I was and to leave her dogs alone. Eventually she managed to get me arrested for supposedly ‘terrorizing’ her, I had to walk * miles back from police station with a fractured tail bone and then she managed to file a taro against me. I did not even know what a taro was, not good with acronym s either. I can only assume she was coached by a formera to filed against me

It sounds like you're dealing with a challenging situation. A "TARO" might refer to a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO), which is a legal order issued to protect someone from harassment or harm. Have you considered seeking legal advice to address these accusations and your arrest?

Oh yes I tried, no one cared and preferred to assume I was ‘terrorizing’ her. This is after being terrorized by her dogs that she once brought over to property without permission and attacked my dogs. When a housemate who was friends with landlord was out of town he allowed an old girlfriend to stay on property to to watch is dog. That was not nevessaru and instead she had friends come over, trash the kitchen and then would have or try to have sleepovers with Ty the house I lived in with the owner of the dogs that attacked me. This is also after I was having my property stolen, and would come home and my pots and pans would be I. Yard runner by cars, broken coffe cups. I had to put everything of mine from kitchen and lock them in my room. She had an ex prison inmate advising her, who yelling fck u and taking pictures of me when they managed to get me arrested for ‘terrorizing’ them. I even spoke with off island landlord after getting out of jail.

I left property after her exinmate advisor would come on property brandishing a steel pipe, as if I was the threat. Or in his mind, my wanting a secure gate so escaped sharpeis would not maul my dogs meant I was acting like I owned the place. He had agreement with landlord to store cars on property. Owner of property who had his dog mauled would not discuss any of these issues with me. Point being that the landlord not notifying me before moved on property and not securing gate caused a slew of issues beyond injuries to me and my dogs. Can a legal case include those?

Your situation involves several legal complexities, including property disputes, landlord responsibilities, and potential misrepresentation. In Missouri, you might explore:
- Premises liability for unsafe conditions.
- Negligence for the landlord's failure to secure the property.
- Misrepresentation if the property was advertised as secure.
Have you documented all incidents and communications related to these issues?

Including a relative of the inmate that was living on porch of property I lived per an agreement of landlord’s friend living in house had with man in exchange for using his SNAP benefits card.
