My son was in a crash where his dirtbike t-boned a car. Both vehicles are totaled. My son was airlifted to a hospital * miles away- suffered a severe TBI and polytrauma, was in a coma for * weeks, spent 1 month in the hospital and 1 month in in-patient brain-rehabilitation. the only witnesses were the two drivers involved, and my son can't remember most of that year, let alone the crash. The police report is the other driver's statement, and the cop's agreement with that statement. Then the same cop was a main participant in writing the reconstruction, which again ignored anything that would make it seem as thout the other driver had done anything wrong, and placed all fault on my son.

by the 2nd week of his coma, they were suggesting he may not recover any more than to stay in a vegetative state, IF he lived. No one who treated him/saw him can explain his recovery. He is almost back to how he was, physically, other than the limitations from a carotid dissection that is stable but not fixing itself, and he's *, so no roller coasters is a bummer. He will always struggle cognitively, but we're working on getting him in a vocational program to see if he can do anything for employment. the extent of legal anything: my sister, a paralegal, called the other driver's insurance co. listed on the crash report, only to find out he wasn't insured.
