I got into a car accident about ten years ago. I got a lawyer to take my case and they filed I was going thru the process and suddenly my attorney had to drop me because of conflict of interest so they gave my case to another lawyer I met him once and never heard from him again my question is is my lawsuit still open or can I re open it since it was already filed
Hi ****! The statute of limitations for personal injury claims varies by state, but ten years is typically beyond the limit. However, if the lawsuit was filed, it may still be open. You should contact the court where your case was filed to check its status.
