im trying to help my cousin. She’s on social security disability and I feel she is being taken advantage of. She hit a parked car at a casino in Iowa. The damage was really minimal ( she described it as a scratch) . The police were called and police said he couldn’t give a citation. The husband of the driver got a hold of my cousin and told her he wanted *,* for the damage . She’s on fixed income and he got his lawyer to tell her she could pay $*. / month until she pays it off. Does she have to do this? She doesn’t have money for a lawyer
Did your cousin receive any official documentation or agreement regarding this payment plan from the other party's lawyer?
