In *, my boyfriend, Justin, was laying water pipes in our front yard. A guy named christian walked up with a gun. Everything was okay at first, although I could tell that christian was on some sort of drugs. He shot by Justin's feet(my 9 year old was right beside Justin) and I went and called *. In the mean time, Justin follows christian down the road trying to get the gun from him. I all of a sudden I heard * more shots, so I got in my car and drove to where they came from. When I got there, James was face down on the ground and had been shot in his hip while Justin was beating christian with the gun. Justin had been shot in the stomach. Christian ran off before the ambulance and police got there. The police treated us all like criminals. They flew Justin and James to regional one in Memphis Tennessee where Justin was in critical condition. He was shot in his lower intestine and they had to do exploratory surgery. 5 days later, Justin and James both were back home. Christian told everyone that Justin was lying to rob him. Christian never was arrested for any of it! Justin went to the court house and they literally threw him out! The prosecuting attorney kept ignoring our calls until there had been so much time that Justin and James could t do anything about it. Now Justin and James are called thieves and christian is out running free. Even after 2 years, he still messages my boyfriend and now my son, Tristan, threatening them every day. But still nothing is done
